Commodore Chronicles
The Commodore Chronicles Podcast is the show where I review Commodore 64 games.
You can tune in over at: Commodore Chronicles on Spotify or on nearly any podcatcher available today.
The Commodore 64 was my very first home computer. My parents acquired my Uncle Dan's SPARE Commodore 64 "Breadbin" model and a C2N Cassette Drive in 1986.
In only took a few moments of playing Jumpman on his home setup to get me curious. Then just a few months later, my cousins Little Al and Bryan introduced me to Impossible Mission and I was completely hooked. I spent a vast amount of my young childhood in Bryan's room on that C64. Around 1990, they had moved on to other systems and let me take their 1541 and collection of disks home.
As time went on, my school friends bragged about their 386 and 486 PCs, but I kept on plugging away at a Commodore 64, eventually moving out to the garage and having it set up there.
Even today, if I look up at the shelves above me, there's my Commodore 64 ready to go... And it only takes a few steps away from my desk to locate a C64 and 128 setup. They are easily my most favored home computers I own.
I hope the Commodore Chronicles can inspire you to dig yours out of closet and fire it up, but make sure you replace that power supply before you turn in on.
